Switzerland: Part II

Alright, So I’m writing this on my computer without internet.. And I honestly forget what I wrote about last because it’s been so long.. Sorry! I’m having fun! Isn’t that better than posting ALL the time?! Aren’t you all glad I’m having fun?! Right..? JEESH! JUST KIDDING. Anyway, last I posted, I’m pretty sure we had just arrived in Bern. Bern was really fun, but everything was so expensive! We could barely do anything, it was so annoying! It was really great to see Stephan though, I’ve missed him so much, and I got to meet his sister Korinna, which was awesome. Kira and Stephan got along really well and that was super gratifying. By the way, Stephan is pretty much my BEST friend from Panama, in case I didn’t already say that in my last post and you didn’t know. We hadn’t seen each other in almost two years... So that was exciting. We spent New Years Eve there as well! It was really fun, we had delicious fondue and later went to the main square to bring in 2012!! We went out later to a latin club and danced until the wee hours! When we got back to Stephan’s house, we called Silvia, our host mom in Panama, and talked to her, and the family for a while which was really nice to do with Stephan. The next day, Stephan went to work and we headed to the train station, on our way to St. Gallen. We were exhausted... We slept on the train and got to St. Gallen by the time it got dark. Marietta and her sister, Annina, picked us up at the train station and we all hugged and it was really exciting! It felt like we had only seen Marietta a couple weeks ago! It was awesome to see her though, and meet her twin! It was pretty funny, seeing someone you’ve only seen in pictures, but you feel like you know them because they look exactly like someone you know very well... Anyway, we got to her house, and her mom had prepared a delicious meal! Her mom was SO nice and her apartment had the most amazing view of the city! Her mom made a typical turkish dish and it was the BEST. We all hung out and talked, and later watched a movie together! The next day Marietta went to school and when she got home we were just waking up... Oops... We all went to the city and got Doner kabob! It was our first in Europe and it was basically a really delicious gyro in a tortilla.. Mmmm. Marietta went back to school and we went to the house and planned our trip to Munich! When she got back home around five, we all went swimming at a fitness center and talked and hung out in the salt water pools and hot tubs... So nice after a long day of doing nothing! Haha, it was very relaxing.. The next day we went to school with Marietta and Annina and it was so boring because we couldn’t understand ANYTHING... It was horrible! We wished we knew German! We went to an art class with Annina though, and they were learning about dance, so that was really fun. The teacher was crazy though! She was just really lovin’ dance. I met an Argentinian exchange student and we talked some about our experiences, which was nice. The day was so long, 8-5pm... How do people do this everyday! I wouldn’t be alive... The next day, Kira and I made a typical American dish for them.. Meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes and caramelized carrots. It was really good, and they loved it. Marietta’s mom was really excited and we ate almost an entire meatloaf between us five ladies. Impressive. The next day, we hopped on the train and headed to Munich!
